CITY OF BELMONT: Now Open: Catawba Crossings Public Comment Opportunities

City of Belmont issued the following announcement on Jan. 17.

Public Comment Period: January 14 – February 13, 2022

The  Gaston-Cleveland-Lincoln Metropolitan Planning Organization (GCLMPO) and regional project sponsors are conducting a feasibility study for the Catawba Crossings Project to develop conceptual designs, cost estimates, and recommendations for a proposed new alignment roadway between NC 279 (S. New Hope Rd) in southeastern Gaston County to NC 160 (Steele Creek Rd) in western Mecklenburg County. Catawba Crossings is recommended to be a multi-lane, median-divided boulevard with landscaping along the roadway as well as bicycle and pedestrian accommodations.
