Falling home prices in Matthews in the first quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2021 in Matthews fell by $2,000 while total sales decreased by 25%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2021, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $411,500 - a 0.5% decrease over the $413,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were eight homes sold in Matthews in the first quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Matthews for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $2,181, approximately 0.5% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2021.
