The first quarter of 2021: Home prices in Monroe increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2021 in Monroe rose by $18,000 while total sales increased by 5.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2021, there were 126 homes sold, with a median sale price of $250,000 - a 7.8% increase over the $232,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 119 homes sold in Monroe in the first quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Monroe for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,109, approximately 0.4% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2021.
