The second quarter of 2021: Matthews experienced a 14.6% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2021 in Matthews rose by $70,000 while total sales decreased by 28.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2021, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $550,000 - a 14.6% increase over the $480,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Matthews in the second quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Matthews for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $2,181, approximately 0.4% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2021.
