Pricing for the median home in Matthews increased during the third quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2019 in Matthews rose by $12,500 while total sales increased by 11.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2019, there were 10 homes sold, with a median sale price of $268,500 - a 4.9% increase over the $256,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were nine homes sold in Matthews in the third quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Matthews for 2019 was $2,181. In 2018, the median sales tax was $2,181, as well. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.8%.
