Monroe median home prices rose by 14.7% in the third quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2019 in Monroe rose by $27,750 while total sales decreased by 14.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2019, there were 177 homes sold, with a median sale price of $216,000 - a 14.7% increase over the $188,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 208 homes sold in Monroe in the third quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Monroe for 2019 was $1,109. In 2018, the median sales tax was $1,106. This marks an increase of 0.3%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.5%.
