Home prices increased in Kannapolis during the first half of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2021 in Kannapolis rose by $17,000 while total sales decreased by 30.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2021, there were 305 homes sold, with a median sale price of $180,000 - a 10.4% increase over the $163,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 437 homes sold in Kannapolis in the first half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Kannapolis for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,384, approximately 0.8% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2021.
