City of Boiling Spring Lakes issued the following announcement on Aug. 19.
Pursuant to NCGS 159-12 (b), the City of Boiling Spring Lakes will hold a Public
Hearing on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 6:30 pm at City Hall, 9 E. Boiling Spring Road.
The Board of Commissioners will receive public comment regarding adopting the Venus Fly
Trap as the City’s official plant and potentially adopting the slogan ‘Home of the Venus Fly
Trap’.
All interested persons are encouraged to attend. Following the hearing, the Board of
Commissioners may choose to adopt the order.
