Home prices increased in Bessemer City during the first quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2021 in Bessemer City rose by $55,750 while total sales increased by 10.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2021, there were 42 homes sold, with a median sale price of $178,500 - a 45.4% increase over the $122,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 38 homes sold in Bessemer City in the first quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Bessemer City for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,113, approximately 0.6% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2021.
