Pricing for the median home in Gastonia increased during the first quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2021 in Gastonia rose by $14,500 while total sales increased by 16%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2021, there were 399 homes sold, with a median sale price of $175,000 - a 9% increase over the $160,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 344 homes sold in Gastonia in the first quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Gastonia for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,462, approximately 0.8% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2021.
