Census Bureau: North Carolina saw more residents between ages 45 and 54 in 2019

Of the 10,264,876 people residing in North Carolina in 2019, the median age was 39, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Old North News.

The largest number of people were in the 45 to 54 age bracket with the fewest number of people in the age bracket for people over the age of 84.
