CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE: Changes to City programs, services, access to city buildings

City of Fayetteville issued the following announcement on March 24.

Beginning Wednesday, March 25, City Hall and all city buildings normally accessible to the public will be closed to public access to mitigate the spread of COVID19 and keep our citizens and employees safe. Citizens can still access the majority of city services online by visiting FayettevilleNC.gov/COVID19 for more information.    

Additional steps being instituted to help mitigate the spread of COVID19 include the following:

  • Beginning Wednesday, March 25, all Parks & Recreation recreation centers will be closed until further notice.
  • Beginning Wednesday, March 25, the Transit Center will be closing at 7 p.m. each evening.
  • Beginning Thursday, March 26, bus rides are free, fares will not be collected and the sale of bus passes will be suspended until further notice.
