Charlotte Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Sept. 12
Carol Lovin, executive vice president, chief integration officer and system chief of staff for Atrium Health, will lead the CLT Alliance in 2021. Deeply invested in the region, Lovin was one of 10 Charlotte business leaders who led the combination of the Charlotte Chamber and Charlotte Regional Partnership to form the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance.
Lovin currently serves as the Alliance’s Vice Chair as well as on the boards of Charlotte Center City Partners and the World Affairs Council of Charlotte. Recent recognitions include 2018 Charlotte BusinessWoman of the Year by Queens University, Becker’s Hospital Review’s “Women Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know” and “Hospital and Health System Chief Strategy Officers to Know.” She holds a Bachelor of Science and a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Washington, as well as a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Michigan.

Malcomb Coley, EY US-Central growth market leader and Charlotte managing partner will assume CLT Alliance leadership role following Lovin in 2022. Also deeply invested in the region, Malcomb joined Carol and eight other Charlotte business leaders in shaping the CLT Alliance as a result of the merger of the Charlotte Chamber and Charlotte Regional Partnership.
Malcomb currently serves as the Alliance’s treasurer as well as board chair of the United Way of Central Carolinas and the boards of Charlotte Center City Partners, Friends of Trinity Episcopal School Board, First Tee of Greater Charlotte, Cameron school of Business Executive Advisory Board for UNC-Wilmington, UNC-W Endowment Board, UNC-W Campaign Executive Cabinet and UNCC, Belk College of Business Board of Advisors. He holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting and a Master of Business Administration both from the University of North Carolina of Wilmington. Malcomb has a 28-year career with EY, which began in the Raleigh office. In Atlanta he was a Senior Assurance Partner where he served a variety of both public and private clients.
