The Master Plan Update Committee of the State Water Infrastructure Authority will hold a meeting by teleconference on March 18 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., according to an announcement released March 16. The public can listen to the meeting online or by phone, and an in-person listening station will be available at the Archdale Building in Raleigh for those unable to join virtually.

The meeting is part of the authority’s ongoing work to oversee water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the state. The authority is responsible for awarding federal and state funding for these projects, as well as developing a master plan for water infrastructure, recommending ways to maximize loan and grant resources, and examining best practices.

Instructions for joining the meeting online are provided through Webex, with a password required for access. Those wishing to participate by phone can do so using a provided access code. Details about the agenda are available online.

The State Water Infrastructure Authority operates as an independent body focused on ensuring that communities have access to reliable water and wastewater services. Its responsibilities include not only funding decisions but also strategic planning and policy recommendations related to infrastructure development.
