The South Atlantic Fishery Management Council has postponed its Lines of Communication meetings that were planned for next week in Winnabow, Morehead City, Hatteras, and Manteo. The decision was made because of a forecasted winter storm.

The council stated it will announce new dates and locations for the meetings once they are confirmed.

According to the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council, “Lines of Communication is a new council initiative to build relationships with fisheries stakeholders and provide an opportunity for mutual sharing of information.” The council is one of eight regional fishery management councils in the United States responsible for managing fisheries in federal waters.
