U.S. Senators Thom Tillis and Ted Budd have welcomed the Senate’s confirmation of David Bragdon and Lindsey Freeman to serve as judges on the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina. Both nominees were recommended by Tillis and Budd.

“David Bragdon and Lindsey Freeman are exceptionally qualified, and I’m grateful my colleagues joined me in confirming them to serve the people of North Carolina,” said Senator Tillis. “Throughout this process, I’ve remained committed to advancing judges who uphold the Constitution, apply the law fairly, and serve with integrity. I appreciate the White House’s partnership in identifying strong candidates, and I look forward to seeing both Judge Bragdon and Judge Freeman bring their experience and dedication to the federal bench.”

Senator Budd also commented on their confirmation: “Today, the great state of North Carolina gained two accomplished and highly competent jurists on the federal bench. I look forward to seeing the great work Judge David Bragdon and Judge Lindsey Freeman will do as they uphold the rule of law and defend the Constitution in the Middle District. I am proud to have worked alongside President Trump to secure their confirmations.”

David Bragdon currently serves as Appellate Chief for a U.S. Attorneys’ Office. He previously clerked for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and served as Resident Legal Advisor for the Philippines at the U.S. Department of Justice.

Lindsey Freeman is an Assistant U.S. Attorney who has clerked for the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, worked as Of Counsel at O’Melveny & Myers LLP, and held senior roles at the Department of Justice.
