Samaritan’s Purse, a Christian-based international relief organization based in Boone, NC, is on the ground in Western North Carolina, providing relief and assistance to victims of Hurricane Helene.

“The ongoing relief work in Asheville, along with our other response sites across Western NC and the Southeast, includes tarping damaged roofs, clearing debris, mudding out homes, and more – all in an effort to remind these hurting communities that God has not forgotten them during this difficult time,” the organization posted on X.

“While the flood waters continue to recede, the spiritual and physical needs will remain for weeks and months ahead,” the post said.
