The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2017 in Raleigh rose by $17,500 while total sales decreased by 18.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2017, there were 1,843 homes sold, with a median sale price of $255,000 – a 7.4% increase over the $237,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 2,254 homes sold in Raleigh in the second quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Raleigh for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $2,103, approximately 0.8% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2017.
