The North Carolina Solar for All (EnergizeNC) Community Advisory Board is scheduled to meet virtually on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 10 a.m. Members of the public can participate in the meeting through Webex or attend an in-person listening session at Green Square, located at 217 West Jones Street, Raleigh, NC.

The agenda and supporting documents for the meeting are available on the Solar for All Community Advisory Board webpage. The board will discuss various aspects of program design such as workforce development, consumer protection, outreach and communication, financial incentive design, and program eligibility.

In April 2024, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency awarded $156 million to EnergizeNC. This coalition aims to expand access to residential and community solar energy in low-income and disadvantaged communities throughout North Carolina. Led by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s State Energy Office, EnergizeNC collaborates with partners including the NC Clean Energy Technology Center, the NC Clean Energy Fund, and Advanced Energy.

The initiative seeks to reduce energy costs for residents while creating well-paying jobs and providing reliable energy access. The EnergizeNC coalition plans to launch services for households by late 2025. These efforts aim to accelerate solar energy growth across North Carolina by enabling distributed solar deployment along with associated storage solutions.
