NFIB State Director Gregg Thompson led a group of small business owners from North Carolina to Washington, D.C., from June 9-11 for the 2025 NFIB Fly-In. This annual event provides NFIB members with the opportunity to engage with Congress members and their staff on important issues.

During the visit, discussions focused on topics such as repealing burdensome beneficial ownership requirements and preserving the 20% Small Business Deduction, which is due to expire at the end of the year.

The North Carolina delegation had meetings with Senator Ted Budd, Representative Rich Hudson, and Representative Addison McDowell.

“I want to thank Senator Budd and Representatives Hudson and McDowell for taking the time to meet and listen to what our members had to say about the federal issues affecting Main Street,” said Thompson.
