North Carolina Labor Commissioner Luke Farley recently engaged with members of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) during a small business roundtable held in Wilmington. The event took place at Cape Fear Community College, where small business owners had the opportunity to inquire about workplace rules, safety regulations, and potential impacts of new laws on their operations.

Commissioner Farley addressed these concerns and outlined how the Department of Labor aims to assist both employers and workers. He emphasized the significance of maintaining safe workplaces and ensuring businesses receive necessary support.

NFIB State Director Gregg Thompson expressed gratitude for Commissioner Farley’s participation, stating, “I want to thank Commissioner Farley for spending time with our members, answering their questions, and listening to their concerns.”
