NC State wrestling prepares for ACC Championship in Blacksburg

NC State’s wrestling team is set to compete in the 2026 ACC Championship, which will take place at Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburg, Virginia, on Sunday, March 8. The event marks the start of the postseason for the Wolfpack.

Tickets for the championship are available online, with advance pricing set at $10 and day-of pricing at $15. Children aged two and under can attend free of charge. All seating is general admission, and doors open at 9 a.m. Ticket sales are digital only and can be purchased at https://hokiesports.evenue.net/events/WRACC. Attendees should be aware that Virginia Tech Athletics has implemented a clear bag policy to enhance safety and speed up entry into the venue. The Wolfpack features two previous ACC champions, Ryan Jack and Matty Singleton, both aiming for their second individual titles this year. Since Pat Popolizio became head coach 14 seasons ago, NC State has secured seven ACC Championships.

Sunday’s competition will determine automatic qualifiers for the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships scheduled for March 19-21 in Cleveland, Ohio. The ACC received a total of 39 automatic qualifying spots across ten weight classes for this year’s NCAA tournament.

NC State’s lineup includes Vince Robinson (125 lbs), Zach Redding (133 lbs), Ryan Jack (141 lbs), Koy Buesgens (149 lbs), Luca Felix (157 lbs), Will Denny (165 lbs), Matty Singleton (174 lbs), Don Cates (184 lbs), Patrick Brophy (197 lbs), and Isaac Trumble (285 lbs).

Fans can follow live results and brackets online. The championship rounds will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra starting at 10 a.m., with coverage continuing throughout the day on multiple mats. The finals will air on ACC Network at 8 p.m.
