NC State’s wrestling team, ranked ninth nationally, concluded its 2025 schedule with three home victories at Reynolds Coliseum on Sunday. The Wolfpack improved their season record to 8-3 after defeating The Citadel 29-12, George Mason 34-14, and Buffalo 42-3.

Sixteen wrestlers competed for NC State during the quad-meet. Patrick Brophy made his debut at 197 lbs., finishing undefeated in three matches, including one against his former team, The Citadel. Heavyweight Isaac Trumble secured three dominant wins, two by first-period falls and another by technical fall.

Brophy, Trumble, Zach Redding, and Will Denny each won all three of their bouts. Freshman Will Denny also achieved a notable win over #30-ranked Thomas Snipes from The Citadel and pinned Brady Unger of Buffalo in the first period.

At 141 lbs., Ryan Jack returned to form with a technical fall victory against The Citadel and a first-period pin against George Mason. Three redshirt freshmen—Jaydon Robinson (141 lbs.), Luca Felix (157 lbs.), and Pete Winterstein (165 lbs.)—made appearances in the lineup. Robinson and Winterstein each participated in dual action for NC State for the first time.

The team will begin its conference schedule at home on Friday, January 9, facing Virginia at Reynolds Coliseum.
