NC State’s wrestling team secured a 32-7 victory over Duke in Durham on Friday, marking the Wolfpack’s final conference and road dual of the season. The win brings NC State to a 14-4 overall record and 5-1 in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) competition.

The Wolfpack claimed eight out of ten matches at Cameron Indoor Stadium, with their only losses coming at the 125-pound and 174-pound weight classes. Seven of NC State’s eight victories were bonus point wins, contributing to their dominant performance.

After dropping the opening bout at 125 pounds, NC State responded by winning the next five matches. This run gave them a commanding 21-3 lead midway through the dual.

Heavyweight wrestler Isaac Trumble delivered a key result for NC State by defeating No. 23 Connor Barket of Duke. Barket was a qualifier for the NCAA tournament in 2025. With this win, Trumble improved his season record to 13-0 and notched his ninth bonus point victory.

Looking ahead, NC State will return home for its final dual meet of the season at Reynolds Coliseum. Before that match begins, the program will honor its graduating seniors: Don Cates, Aaron Faison, Troy Hohman, Ryan Jack, Andrew Macchiavello, and Isaac Trumble.

Match results included Spencer von Savoye (Duke) defeating Brad Yokum (NC State) at 125 pounds by decision; Zach Redding (#25 NC State) earning a technical fall over Riley Rowan (Duke) at 133; Ryan Jack (#13 NC State) winning by major decision against Raymond Adams (Duke) at 141; Koy Buesgens (#8 NC State), Luca Felix (NC State), and Will Denny (#10 NC State) all posting major decisions in their respective bouts; Aidan Wallace (#23 Duke) beating Latrell Schafer (NC State) at 174 pounds; Don Cates (NC State), Patrick Brophy (NC State), and Isaac Trumble (#2 NC State) closing out with victories from 184 pounds upward.

Individual rankings are according to InterMat as of February 10, 2026.
