The North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services (NCDA&CS) has introduced a new video series aimed at helping agritourism businesses expand and enhance their offerings. The four-part series covers topics such as marketing strategies, annual planning, the use of artificial intelligence in farm marketing, and preparing agritourism destinations.

“Agritourism activities introduce people to North Carolina’s rich agricultural traditions while offering fun on-farm activities that contribute to the success of these family farms,” said Erica Calderon, agritourism marketing specialist at NCDA&CS. “This series provides agritourism operations with tools and strategies that will help them connect with potential visitors.”

The video project is part of the Visit NC Farms initiative, which aims to link residents and visitors with local farms, fisheries, farmers markets, u-pick experiences, farm stays, tours, trails, and agricultural events throughout North Carolina. The videos are available for free online at Industry Resources – Visit NC Farms. NCDA&CS encourages those involved in agritourism or interested in promoting it to watch and share the content.

Visit NC Farms is a partnership between the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, local tourism leaders, and farm businesses. Its mission is to strengthen ties between consumers and producers by providing information about farm-fresh food options, events, wineries, u-pick fields, and more through its website (www.visitncfarms.com).
