The North Carolina Mining Commission Rules Committee will meet at 11 a.m. on March 27, 2026, through an online WebEx session, according to a March 24 announcement. An in-person listening station will also be available in the Fifth Floor Conference Room at the Archdale Building in Raleigh for those unable to attend virtually.
The meeting is open to the public and aims to discuss matters related to mining regulations within the state. A meeting agenda and other relevant materials are expected to be posted online before the event.
The North Carolina Mining Commission consists of five voting members and two non-voting members. The commission’s responsibilities include setting rules for administering mining resources across North Carolina.
In addition, the commission serves as an advisory body to the Governor and establishes guidelines for distributing aid provided by federal authorities.
Looking ahead, stakeholders and interested parties are encouraged to participate or follow updates from this session as regulatory decisions made by the committee can impact mining operations statewide.
