Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson said that Vice President Kamala Harris and North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein have enabled the rise of dangerous illegal immigration across the state.

“Thanks to failed Border Czar Kamala Harris and her top cheerleader Josh Stein, dangerous illegal immigrants like this one are causing mayhem and wreaking havoc across our state,” Lt. Gov. Robinson wrote in a Sept. 13 social media post on X. “And of course, they’re ending up in counties like Guilford—where the radical Sheriff, Danny Rogers, has endorsed Josh Stein and has said he won’t cooperate with ICE! President Donald Trump and I will stop this madness!”

Lt. Gov. Robinson wrote his comment in response to a separate social media post by Illegal Immigrant Crimes, reporting the arrest of Jose Amorado Morado-Deluna, who was arrested for the rape of a child in 2014, which was filed in February. Morado-Deluna has an immigration detainer hold and was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Albuquerque, New Mexico, last March. Marshals report that at the time of his arrest, Morado-Deluna was out on bond for stealing a motor vehicle.

Vice President Kamala Harris was appointed as “Border Czar” by President Joe Biden on March 24, 2021, “to lead efforts to stamp migration across the U.S.-Mexico border.” He reportedly asked Harris to focus on Mexico and the Northern Triangle — El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, countries that will “need help stemming the movement of so many folks, stemming the migration to our southern border,” Biden said.

Harris was tasked with both curbing the current flow of migrants and implementing a long-term strategy that addresses the root causes of migration. Cabinet members were also expected to work closely with Harris on these issues.

Since Harris’ appointment, the “surge” of illegal aliens crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, particularly the Southwest portion of the U.S., has grown worse.

During fiscal year 2024 to date, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has arrested 41,780 illegal aliens who have previous criminal convictions or who are wanted by law enforcement, according to CBP data.

There were only 646,822 illegal alien encounters in Fiscal Year 2020 when the Biden-Harris Administration first entered office.
