License sales at the Division of Marine Fisheries Manteo Office will be temporarily suspended on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, March 4-5. The office is scheduled to reopen on Thursday, March 6.

During the closure, members of the public who need to conduct license business can visit alternative locations. These include the Department of Environmental Quality Washington Regional Office located at 943 Washington Square Mall, Highway 17, Washington, NC 27889. For inquiries, they can be reached at 252-948-3800.

Another option is the Division of Marine Fisheries Headquarters situated at 3441 Arendell Street, Morehead City, NC 28557. The contact number for this location is 252-515-5500.

Additionally, services are available at the Department of Environmental Quality Wilmington Regional Office found at 127 Cardinal Drive Extension, Wilmington, NC 28405. They can be contacted via phone at 910-796-7215.

For those seeking Coastal Recreational Fishing Licenses, these can also be obtained from many sporting goods and bait and tackle shops. Purchases can be made online through www.ncwildlife.org or by calling on business days from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 888-248-6834.
