The City of Havelock announced on Apr. 30 that a public hearing will be held on June 1, 2026, to discuss the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2026-2027. The hearing is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., or soon thereafter, at Havelock City Hall located at 1 Governmental Avenue.

The announcement states that the proposed budget has been provided to the Board of Commissioners and is available for public inspection in the office of the City Clerk at City Hall during regular business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays.

Residents are encouraged to participate in the process by submitting written or oral comments regarding the proposed budget during the hearing. According to city officials, “Citizens are invited to make written or oral comments.”
