FOIA Request to City of Creedmoor regarding new or amended contracts on February 1, 2026.

A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was submitted to the City of Creedmoor by Old North News on February 1, 2026. The request seeks access to records related to new contracts and amendments to existing contracts that were executed, approved, or became effective during the immediately preceding calendar month.

The request specifically asks for details including the title of each contract or amendment, names of contracting parties, effective and approval dates, contract amounts or amended values, and descriptions of the goods or services covered. The requester emphasized that the information is sought for public interest purposes and does not require the creation of new documents but rather pertains to records that currently exist.

In accordance with North Carolina Public Records Law, G.S. ยง132-1., Old North News requested these records in electronic format if available. They also asked for any denials or withholdings to be accompanied by a specific statutory basis and requested all reasonably segregable portions of the records to be released.
