The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Marine Fisheries will host three meetings in November and December for members of the charter and for-hire fishing community. The meetings are intended to provide a platform for participants to discuss challenges facing the industry, including mandatory harvest reporting.

The first meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. at the Division of Marine Fisheries Central District Office in Morehead City, Carteret County. The second meeting will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. at Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, New Hanover County. The third meeting is set for Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. at the College of the Albemarle – Dare in Manteo, Dare County.

Attendees will have an opportunity to address not only mandatory harvest reporting but also any other topics they wish to discuss.
