United States Attorney Russ Ferguson hosted Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of North Carolina in Charlotte. The visit included meetings with Ferguson, the office’s leadership team, and staff to discuss major cases and ongoing issues affecting the district.

Blanche addressed prosecutors and other personnel, sharing Department of Justice priorities and acknowledging their efforts on several fronts. He highlighted work related to Operation Take Back America, efforts against cartels and transnational criminal organizations, responses to immigration and violent crime, as well as measures aimed at protecting vulnerable groups such as children and the elderly. Blanche also thanked the team for their service and dedication.

In addition to internal meetings, Blanche met with law enforcement representatives to emphasize the value of partnerships in upholding public safety and enforcing laws.

“It was an honor to welcome Deputy Attorney General Blanche, a veteran of the Department, to the Western District of North Carolina,” said U.S. Attorney Ferguson. “The Deputy Attorney General got into the weeds and discussed the details of the work we are doing to protect our communities. We are very grateful for his attention to what is important to us here in North Carolina.”
