The following day, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools announced the launch of its Comprehensive Data Review. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools serves over 140,000 students but continues to face staffing challenges as it seeks to fill nearly 400 teaching positions before the start of the upcoming school year. Last year alone saw over 2,100 teachers depart from the district—a situation that has raised concerns among students and staff about full staffing for classrooms (source).
