Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) has issued a series of reminders and resources for families as the new academic year approaches, providing information on online tools, open house events, and support platforms.

On August 14, 2025, CMS posted: “CMS Families all your questions answered – all in one place! Online resources: https://t.co/HbFESiEaR9 In-person Open Houses: https://t.co/FnacAT84Z8 For support with ParentSquare: https://t.co/i7fWFE5aOI #NewSchoolYear #SchoolReady #SchoolResources #EndlessPossibilities https://t.co/y0xfGBhcbB”.

The message was reiterated on August 17, 2025, stating: “CMS Families all your questions answered – all in one place! Online resources: https://t.co/HbFESiEaR9 In-person Open Houses: https://t.co/FnacAT84Z8 For support with ParentSquare: https://t.co/i7fWFE5aOI #NewSchoolYear #SchoolReady #SchoolResources #EndlessPossibilities https://t.co/3RjP3h7fwp”.

Later that same day, CMS reminded families about upcoming school events with the post: “Mark your calendars for our upcoming open house events. Dates are specific to school level. Check with your individual school for times. Visit https://t.co/sR4Ybo31WZ for the top 10 things to know before heading back to school. #ExcellenceCMS #EndlessPossibilities https://t.co/KfL6MCSpiK”.

As the district prepares for students’ return, staffing remains a concern. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools needs just under 400 teachers to be fully staffed at the start of the year. More than 2,100 teachers left the district last year, and officials do not expect to fill every open position before classes begin—a situation that has raised concerns among students (source).
