These efforts come as Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools continues to face staffing challenges. According to human resources officials with the district, nearly 400 teaching positions remain unfilled ahead of the coming school year. Last year alone, over 2,100 teachers left their jobs within CMS. The district does not anticipate filling all vacancies before classes resume—a situation that has raised concerns among students (source).
