Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools has issued a series of announcements on social media ahead of the upcoming academic year, highlighting resources for families and updates to the student registration process.

On July 21, 2025, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools posted: “It’s almost Back to School time! Get a jump start on the new academic year by visiting our Back to School webpage. All the essential resources your family needs in one convenient place: https://t.co/Kvo8QSGWLj #BackToSchool #FamilyResources #CommunitySupport #EndlessPossibilities https://t.co/mMLHigBsZQ”.

The district also shared information in Spanish later that morning. On July 21, 2025, it posted: “¡Se acerca el regreso a clases! Arranque con energía el nuevo ciclo escolar visitando nuestra página web sobre el regreso a clases. Todos los recursos esenciales que su familia necesita en un lugar conveniente: https://t.co/Kvo8QSGWLj #BackToSchool #FamilyResources https://t.co/K6YQYkKrXv”.

In an additional update on July 21, 2025, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools announced changes to its enrollment process: “New & Returning CMS Families, We are excited to announce that the Online Registration Portal is open! These communications come as Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools faces staffing challenges ahead of the new school year. The district needs just under 400 teachers to be fully staffed and does not expect all positions will be filled before classes begin. Last year, more than 2,100 teachers left the district according to human resources officials—a situation that has raised concerns among students and community members (source).
