Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools recently highlighted the achievements and experiences of its students and summer interns through a series of social media posts. The district recognized both the efforts of individual student interns and celebrated the accomplishments of its 2025 summer graduates.

On August 8, 2025, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools introduced one of their student interns: “This is Varune, a student intern who joined our Engagement, Access, and Supplier Development team this summer. With his sights set on mechanical engineering, Varune was eager to gain real-world experience and explore his future career path.”

Later that day, the district extended congratulations to its recent graduates: “Congratulations to all of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Class of 2025 summer graduates! This day is a testament to your hard work and dedication. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors!”

On August 11, another post featured a spotlight on a different intern as part of their Summer Intern Takeover Series: “Bright Minds, Big Impact: Summer Intern Takeover Series PRODUCER SPOTLIGHT: Meet Ziani You’ve seen her work. Now learn more about her!”

These posts come at a time when Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools faces staffing challenges ahead of the new school year. The district reportedly needs nearly 400 teachers to be fully staffed after losing over 2,100 teachers in the previous year—a shortage that has raised concerns among students (source).

Despite these ongoing staffing issues, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools continues to promote opportunities for student growth through internships and celebrates academic milestones within its community.
