These communications come as Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools faces ongoing staffing challenges. According to human resources officials cited by WCNC News, the district needs nearly 400 teachers to be fully staffed for the upcoming school year after losing more than 2,100 teachers last year. Officials do not expect all vacancies to be filled before classes resume—a situation that has raised concerns among students (source).
