Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools has announced a series of events and resources aimed at supporting students and their families as they navigate the school year, according to recent posts on its official Twitter account.

On March 10, 2026, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools invited families to participate in a session designed to help bridge the gap between home and school. The post stated: “Are you looking for ways to better support your student as they navigate the jump between home and school? Join us for an insightful session of Family Academy on the Go! Titled ‘Home & School: Bridging Support and Independence.’ All CMS families welcome!”

The following day, March 11, 2026, the district promoted an upcoming event focused on preparing students for life after graduation. In its message, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools wrote: “Ready to explore real options for life after graduation? The Futures Fair is your chance to meet employers, discover career paths and make connections that matter! Your future deserves a moment like this. RSVPs close in one week. Don’t wait — sign up!”

Later that same day, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools recognized Arts in Our Schools Month with another announcement: “March is Arts in Our Schools Month! Explore a snapshot of arts events happening across CMS this month:” The tweet included hashtags promoting excellence and opportunities within the district.

These announcements come as Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools faces ongoing staffing challenges. According to district officials, nearly 2,100 teachers left last year, leaving just under 400 positions open as the new school year approaches. The district does not expect all vacancies will be filled before classes resume—a situation that has raised concerns among students (source).
