Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools has announced a series of virtual workshops aimed at helping parents and families engage with key aspects of the district’s programs, according to recent posts on its official X account.

On August 18, 2025, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools posted: ” Join us for a virtual Infinite Campus – Parent Portal Setup & Navigation workshop, where you’ll learn how to create and access your Parent Portal account. August 19, 2025 12-1pm https://t.co/2fNk79R2pO https://t.co/qxXcJhE9Rb”.

The following day, another post highlighted an upcoming session focused on school health: ” Join us for a virtual Family Academy workshop – Understanding School Health. We will provide parents with a comprehensive understanding of the school health program and its numerous advantages. August 20, 2025 12-1pm https://t.co/2fNk79R2pO https://t.co/GOtftYWL3S” (August 19, 2025).

A third post invited families to learn about safety measures and Title IX initiatives: ” Join us for a virtual Family Academy workshop – School Safety & Title IX. Learn how our district is working to ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students. August 21, 2025 12-1pm https://t.co/2fNk79R2pO https://t.co/VYnCVrFm7N” (August 20, 2025).

These events come as Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools faces staffing challenges ahead of the new academic year. The district needs nearly 400 additional teachers to be fully staffed before classes begin. Last year saw more than 2,100 teachers leave the district; officials do not expect all open positions to be filled in time for the start of school—a situation that has raised concerns among students (WCNC).
