Boise State men’s golf finishes 10th in Mountain West Championship

Boise State men’s golf finished its 2025-26 season on May 5 by placing 10th at the Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championship in Tucson, Arizona. The team collectively shot an 858, finishing six strokes under par.

The result marks the Broncos’ final appearance as members of the Mountain West Conference before moving to the Pac-12 beginning July 1. The event served as a closing chapter for Boise State’s time in the conference.

Reese Knox led Boise State with a strong performance, carding a total score of 209 (-7) and tying for 15th place. This marked his fifth top-25 finish of the season and tied his career best for both total score and relation to par. Knox improved significantly from last year’s championship, where he finished tied for 30th with an even-par score.

Chase Gorder made his debut at the conference championship and finished two-under after rounds of 71, 72, and 70 over three days. Gavyn Knight ended even-par at tied for 39th, while Luke Cushman finished three-over in a tie for 46th place. Ryan Meyer played during the first two rounds before Seth Jones took over for him in round three.

As a team, Boise State birdied a total of forty-nine times during the tournament and recorded two eagles. Knox led with sixteen birdies—tied for sixth-most among all competitors at the event.

Looking ahead, Boise State will join Pac-12 competition starting July.
