The organizers of the ninth annual BEYOND: The Cary Film Festival announced on Apr. 28 that final submissions will be accepted through May 15, with the festival scheduled for September 10 to September 13.

The festival is notable for offering cash prizes of $1,000 in several categories. This opportunity aims to attract filmmakers who have completed their works after January 1, 2025.

Organizers said all eligible films must meet this completion date requirement in order to qualify for entry and potential awards.

The event provides a platform for new and emerging filmmakers to showcase their work and compete for recognition during the four-day festival period. As submission deadlines approach, participants are encouraged to finalize their entries ahead of the cutoff date.

With its ongoing commitment to supporting creative talent, BEYOND: The Cary Film Festival continues to serve as an important event in the local arts calendar.
