Rep. Alma S. Adams, Ph.D., a member of the U.S. Congress representing North Carolina’s 12th district since 2014, recently shared her thoughts on various social issues through a series of tweets. Adams has been a vocal advocate for social justice and education reform.

On March 13, 2025, Rep. Adams commemorated Breonna Taylor, whose death has become a symbol in the fight against systemic police violence. “Today we remember Breonna Taylor, a life stolen from us too early. Her story fuels our fight for accountability, equality, and an end to systemic police violence. We will forever echo her name in the movement for change.”

The following day, March 14, 2025, Rep. Adams addressed concerns about public education funding with another tweet: “If we care about our kids, we should be investing in public education, not undermining it by sending taxpayer dollars to private schools.” This statement reflects her commitment to strengthening public education systems.

Later that same day, she announced an upcoming event celebrating Women’s History Month: “On Friday, March 28th, I’ll be hosting a webinar celebrating Women’s History Month with my friend @RepUnderwood. If you’d like to join us, register here:” The webinar aims to highlight women’s contributions throughout history.
